Founded in 2021, Velour are a South Coast-based Synth-Pop duo consisting of Brandon Moss on lead vocals and Joe Grist on synthesizers. Their music blends contemporary synth-pop concepts and structures with the familiar and nostalgia-drenched sounds of previous decades, and bring a sense of heartfelt emotion and melodrama to their sound. Having played alongside the likes of Black Marble, CLT DRP, Discovery Zone and several festival slots, Velour have continued to evolve their stage performances and increase their online presence.

After signing to indie-label Gloom Records in early 2024, Velour have since worked with the likes of Darren Lawson (producer for White Lies, Spiritualized & Bloc Party) and Pete Maher (mastering for Depeche Mode, U2 & the 1975), to create their debut EP ‘Last Night at the Paradise Lost’. With this project, the band has unapologetically worn their influences on their sleeve, citing inspirations from the likes of Drab Majesty, White Lies and M83 just to name a few. Bringing a sentimental synth-pop sound with a dreampop-esque production style.
